My dad is walking around in a smoking jacket I left in the other room.
An ankle-length, silk, dark teal smoking jacket.
I asked why he was wearing it and he just said “Well I didn’t know where to put it, so I just put it on…”

So my mom saw the Doctor today
And got really excited
She was walking to the metro and was on a crosswalk, and passed by a guy who apparently was the spitting image of the Eleventh Doctor, complete with Doctor-Hair, tweed coat and a pastel pink bow-tie, walked a couple steps before realizing what she’d seen, turned around to compliment him on his bow-tie, and he had disappeared.
She looked around and the guy had just up and completely disappeared.
So if you guys hear about any crazy alien shit happening in DC, don’t worry, it’s just the Doctor.

So they’re playing a bunch of Trans* documentaries on Discovery Fit & Health today
And there was a transwomen on talking about how she went from a very normal life to a very queer life very quickly, and was now a bisexual, transexual woman in a lesbian relationship
And my dad was editing a paper in the kitchen (which is connected to the living room so he could see what was on the TV) and snorted loudly, which made me go sort of mentally “oh no, what is the laughing!”
Then he was like “Wow, that’s a lot of transcendence!”, laughed, and asked what the date was.

My dad has a tattoo now!
He got it on saturday, which made me sad because I wanted to go and see the process.

I like how in my house, if you see something wrapped in a napkin sitting on the table, you can never be sure if it’s a tasty treat or something strange my dad has found on the ground.

Me and my mom were talking vaguely about People I Know earlier and you came up in conversation, and my mom basically offered that, if/when you came out to your parents, she’d be more then willing to talk to them about it (Re: Having a transkid)
She seems to think that will make you More Willing to come out, so? Anyways yeah, that is my mom, folks.
